It’s December and Christmas traditions are in full force! I love this month, I love the time spent with family, the parties with friends, the warm drinks, the fire place on, the carols, but most of all, I love the reason for which we gather, sing, and celebrate.
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Today, we begun our Christmas traditions by hunting down a Christmas Tree. There are several great places in the Abbotsford area to go get a tree. This year we went to Ledgeview Tree Farm. There are a ton of trees to choose from and free hot beverages to boot.
I swear I’m still not acclimated to Canadian winters since moving back from Hawaii a year and a half ago. I wear this thing inside.
Wes Koop, the most classic dad. He’s a total goof, yet so patient and gracious with us indecisive women.
I’m sure every family has their own strategy to picking a tree. Ours usually is finding a tree we like but thinking there could be a better one, then walking around for an hour only to end up at the first tree we liked.
Hope you are all enjoying the Christmas season with your family and friends.
May we not get too busy with parties, banquets, gifts and traditions that we forget to meditate on why we celebrate. May this month be a rich season of reflecting on the wonderful hope we have in Christ Jesus. The miracle that is the gift of Salvation.
In His grace,
