Well, it was more than just a photoshoot of my pretty sister, in a pretty dress, in a pretty desert, our trip to Arizona was quality time with the fam. We went up to South Mountain one evening to watch the sunset, though it was pretty filled with people, I recommend doing this if you’re ever in the area! Then again.. I recommend mountains and sunsets no matter where you are.
It was such a nice time to get away with my family. The older I get, the more I appreciate each one of them and the role they play in my life.
My parents are seriously the cutest. They have been married for 30+ years now and the example of faith they have set before my sister and I, is unexplainable. I also just simply appreciate their goofiness. They know how to have a good laugh, and those good laughs in combination with their unwavering faith in Christ has carried our family through much.
In just a few short months my parents will return to Spain where they serve full-time sharing the power and truth of Christ. It has been SO fun watching God orchestrate all of this for them, and the way in which they serve is SO fitting to God’s giftings in them(coffee and evangelism, does it get any more Koop-like?). My mom has given her notice for her job where she has been working since I was a child. My dad as well, will leave his job and return to a position much different than where he has been for the past years. It is so inspiring to me to see them truly and faithfully face the the cost of Obedience. This time away was so needed before they leave and we are once again, not all in the same country.
Hope y’all find people in your life that are (like) family. Grateful to be part of the greater body of Christ, that far extends my parents and sister. What a joy to be part of the family of God, to have Him as a gracious Father, and to be part of the Church.
